A soon-to-be 28-year-old former White House and Department of Energy official running for Congress in New Jersey’s 12th District.

My parents – both immigrants from Mumbai – raised me in Hightstown, a community of 63 languages where I became fluent in Spanish. My upbringing taught me that if you work hard and uplift others, you can build a better life for your family, no matter what you look like or where you come from. 

After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, I became a community organizer, mobilizing our neighbors to stand up to the Trump Administration. I spent the next four years working in the White House and Department of Energy to implement the largest clean energy investment in history, including millions of dollars to New Jersey. 

I moved back home and joined a community solar developer to increase supply and lower energy bills for families in New Jersey. I’m running for Congress to bring new energy to our politics.
