Jay Vaingankar Announces Almost $110,00 Raised in First Quarter of 2026

Q1 haul brings Gen Z candidate's total raise to over $260K

Princeton Junction, NJ (April 2, 2026) – Today, Gen Z former Biden Administration official Jay Vaingankar announced that his campaign for Congress in NJ-12 raised almost $110,00 in the first quarter of 2026. Since entering the race, Vaingankar has now raised more than $260,000 total, including over $150,000 raised in December 2025 when he launched his campaign.

The campaign’s fundraising strength is powered by strong grassroots support, with no contributions from corporate PACs or special interest groups, and an average online contribution of $33.44. Vaingankar’s early fundraising places his campaign in a competitive position alongside candidates with prior runs or long-established political networks, underscoring growing momentum behind his candidacy.

“We’re building this campaign the right way, with real grassroots support from people who want a new generation of leadership in Congress,” said Gen Z congressional candidate Jay Vaingankar. “We’re not taking a dime from corporate PACs or special interests, and that means we’re accountable to the people we’re running to serve. This early support shows that our message is resonating and that we’re in a strong position to compete against elected officials twice my age, candidates who have previously run or who have long-established political networks.”

Born and raised in Mercer County, Vaingankar served in the Biden White House before being

appointed to the U.S. Department of Energy to help implement the largest climate investment in history, including millions in clean energy tax credits for New Jersey. He returned home to work in solar energy to lower utility bills for New Jerseyans and fight the rising cost of living.
