Princeton Junction, NJ (February 10, 2026) – Today, Gen Z congressional candidate and former Biden White House official Jay Vaingankar released the following statement on the results of the NJ-11 special Democratic primary election:

“Congratulations to Analilia Mejia on her victory in NJ-11! Voters in North Jersey sent a clear message last week: We don’t need the establishment to tell us what to do. The days of arm-twisted endorsements and backroom deals deciding primaries in New Jersey are over.

“I was also so encouraged to see huge turnout – Democrats of all ages, races, and incomes are excited to have their voices heard.

“Now, all eyes are on NJ-12. On June 2, we have the opportunity to reject machine politics and send to Congress a fresh face with new energy and progressive values. I look forward to making my case to the people who will decide this election: the voters of Central Jersey.”
